LOVE of CHRIST

What I keep thinking of this year is the LOVE OF CHRIST! Last year at this time I wasn't ready or excited about christmas because I wasn't feeling it. This year I have decided to make sure and feel it. I have a new love for God and what He has done for me and continues to do. As we continue to seek God's guidance for our family, I am reminded about how much He loves us, wants us to serve Him and wants us to better His kingdom. The LOVE of CHRIST is so evident this year. The only things that I have changed is opening my eyes to IT!! IT has always been there I just hadn't seen it! My challenge to you this year is to open your eyes to God's love and His presence. See Him in all you do, give and receive! If it wasn't for His love, where would you be??

I'm changing my name, Mom!

Again its been a while. Just life passing by. Everyday I think I need to post something but I never know what to post...but I thought that I would post some of the funny things my boys have said and done lately!!!!

At Jackson's school they have the parents post a paper in the windshield that has your child's name on it to make pick up a little easier. When I picked up Jackson from school the other day he said that we need to change our "Jackson Talley" sign. I asked him why, he said,
"Mom, I changed my name."
"Ok," I said. "To what?"
"Well I go by Chief."
He was serious!!! Too cute. I was doing a GREAT job of holding in my laughter.
So I said, "So no more Jackson Paul Talley huh?"
"Nope," he said, "it is now Chief Talley Paul."
"Alright, Chief Talley Paul it is."
Still keeping my laughter to myself and thinking he is so creative...
Then his "sensitive" little brother who has been very quiet (not usually the case) pipes up and says, "Well that's just stupid."
To which I said (after I tried my hardest to keep my laughter in), "Luke be nice we don't say stupid."
Then with the most hilarious look on his face he said, "well it is!"
I am still laughing about it! It was one of those priceless moments when I wished I had a tape recorder to get the full story!!! We still call him Chief every once in a while, but for the most part he is still Jackson or JP.

Chief Talley Paul and his cool little self!!!

Talley Times

So...I started a new blog. I could not get the other one to let me in, so here we are. Sorry for all the confusion! I think it has been way too long since my last post.
Anyway, this summer has been a little crazy (whose hasnt). We are quickly approaching our trip to Africa. My friend and I will be leaving on the 13th of July and the rest of the group will be leaving on the 17th. I am so excited and nervous all rolled into one. There are still things that need to get done. We will be doing a little VBS for the children in Kenya and there are things that I still need to order and get ready for that along with the fact that I need to pack my boys and myself. eeeek!!! why am I blogging when there are so many things that need to get done!!!
